As is known as the Marriage of the Virgin or the Betrothal of the Virgin, the oil painting by Rapheal was commissioned by the Albizzini family for a church in the Citta del Castello. In the early sixteenth-century, thousands of viewers may directly recognize the politics of the image in the painting.
