The Momoyama Period refers to Japan (1573-1615). The corresponding period in China is late Ming Dynasty (1368 -1644). I can only find references to ceramics and textiles, but having an educated guess would say it's sumei style brushwork. I'd approach the Asian Department of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
