王飞,1964 生于安徽,2000 创办《艺术状态》杂志并任主编,职业画家,王飞作品展于2008年8月16日在北京环铁美术馆隆重举行。此次展出作品是王飞近几年来在现代水墨领域及现代材料运用方面的实践成果，可以说它代表着王飞近阶段的艺术成果，也代表当代水墨发展的前沿状态。在当今艺术样式纷杂的状态下，王飞却始终坚持自己的艺术观念，并实践于当代水墨的研究和未来的发展。以水墨的现代精神推动当代中国艺术的发展。因为王飞着力于当代文化的思考，使他的作品具前瞻性，并直指当代人的审美需求和心理郁症。在艺术语言上突破传统模式表现现代题材的局限，创造了自我化的笔墨图式。
王飞先生属于“后水墨”的前卫艺术家。
