French examples of German Expressionism?

I can only think of Max Ophüls's "On a volé un homme", and "La tendre ennemie" as fillms with ties toGerman expressionism.
If you want weird and wonderful, I'd recommend Jean Cocteau's "Orphée" and "La belle et la bêté", orJean Renoir's "Le déjeuner sur l'herbe".
